Booking, Cancellation & Care Policy
At Shan Yuet Wellness, each session is offered with care, presence, and respect. This policy exists to support clarity, fairness, and the wellbeing of both client and therapist.
1. Cancellation Policy
Each session at Shan Yuet Wellness is carefully scheduled and prepared, with time reserved for travel, setup, and attentive care. As a small, independent business, each booking represents dedicated time and income, and late cancellations are difficult to absorb. This policy supports the sustainability of the practice while remaining fair and considerate.
Cancellations & Changes
- Appointments may be cancelled or rescheduled up to 24 hours before the scheduled start time without charge.
- Cancellations or changes made within 24 hours of the appointment will be charged 100% of the treatment fee.
- Missed appointments or no-shows will be charged in full.
2. Booking & Payment
- Full payment is required to confirm a booking.
- A booking is considered confirmed once payment has been received.
- Payments for late cancellations and no-shows are non-refundable.
3. Illness & Unexpected Circumstances
If illness or an unexpected situation arises, please contact the therapist as soon as possible. Each situation will be considered with care and understanding, at the therapist’s discretion.
4. Late Arrival & Access
If access to the property is delayed or the session begins late, the treatment time may need to be shortened to respect subsequent appointments. The full treatment fee will still apply.
Please ensure:
- Clear and safe access to the property
- A calm and suitable space for treatment
- Pets are secured during the session
5. Health & Wellbeing
Clients are responsible for sharing any relevant health information before or during the session, including injuries, medical conditions, pregnancy, recent surgery, or allergies.
Massage treatments are provided as a wellness service and are not a substitute for medical diagnosis or treatment. Shan Yuet Wellness reserves the right to adapt, refuse, or stop a treatment if it is not safe or appropriate.
6. Professional Boundaries
All treatments provided by Shan Yuet Wellness are strictly professional and non-sexual.
Any inappropriate behaviour, language, or requests will result in the immediate termination of the session. In such cases, full payment will still apply, and future bookings may be declined.
7. Therapist Safety
For personal safety reasons, the appointment location may be shared with a trusted family member (such as a spouse) solely to ensure the therapist’s safety while attending a mobile session.
Only the location and appointment time are shared. No other personal details are disclosed, and this information is not used for any other purpose.
8. Right to Refuse or End a Session
Shan Yuet Wellness reserves the right to refuse or end a session at any time where:
- Personal safety is at risk
- Relevant health information has been withheld
- The environment is unsafe or unsuitable
- Professional boundaries are not respected
9. Why This Policy Matters
Shan Yuet Wellness is a local, family-run practice offering personalised, one-to-one care. Late cancellations and disruptions cannot easily be replaced. This policy allows the service to be offered with calm, presence, and sustainability — for everyone involved.
By making a booking, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to this Booking, Cancellation & Care Policy.
